Scrapbooking Layouts

When creating a scrapbook, we are always looking for unique scrapbooking layouts and trying to find ways to spruce up our pages so that they don't all look the same. There are some basic things that you can do to help make the most of each of your pages while not taking a whole night just to complete one page. Any of you who do scrapbooking on a regular basis know that creating the scrapbooking layouts can be the hardest part of the process, but there are some tips that you can follow to help make it easier.

The first thing you need to do is to pick whatever theme you are going to work on for the afternoon or weekend and stick with it. Some people find that jumping around sparks their creativity but many scrapbookers feel that if they jump from theme to theme they don't get anything done because they have a hard time collecting their thoughts for so many different scrapbooking layouts. So, as a general rule we recommend that you choose a theme and sort all the pictures you plan to use.

Once you have a theme that you plan to use, you should inventory the scrapbooking supplies that you currently own to see what you have and what you need. Pull out all your scrapbooking stickers, papers, die cuts and other embellishments that you would possibly want to use in your scrapbooking layouts. Make a list of what else you think that you would need to do all the pages and head to the scrapbook store. If you are planning far enough in advance you can also find supplies online.

Before you beginning cropping, pasting, taping or writing you need to plan your scrapbooking layouts. This means, for each page you should play around with what you plan on using until you are satisfied with how the final page will look. If you can take the time to do this you can help eliminate trying to pull up items that have been glued or taped in places that you don't think look right, possibly ruining the paper, photos and other items.

We always suggest searching the web for new and unique scrapbooking layouts and ideas. Sometimes you will find the perfect layout and other times you might get an idea for a layout that you might not have though about otherwise. There are hundreds of sites online where you can find scrapbooking layout ideas to help you make unique and interesting pages to display your photos and memories.
