Scrapbooking quotes

Have you ever been scrapbooking and you come to a point that you just can't think about what to do next? This happens to me every now and then and I call it scrapper's block. About two years ago I came up with an easy solution for ideas for scrapbooking that has yet to fail me. I purchased a book of scrapbooking quotes.

It is actually a book of regular quotes, but I must not have had anything to do one day because I made a personalized cover for the book and called it "My Book of Emergency Scrapbooking Quotes". I came across the idea when I was looking for a witty title for a fun page from a weekend trip with friends. I looked up quotes about friends on the internet and was instantly given hundreds of ideas of how to title the page.

I then begin to think that if I could use the quotes to complete a page, would it be just as easy to use scrapbooking quotes to begin a page? In other words, would a quote give me inspiration for page layout, die cuts, stickers, etc.? The answer was yes! After discovering this, I decided to purchase a book of quotes so that if I was scrapbooking somewhere where I didn't have internet access I could pull out my book of quotes.

Since purchasing my book, I have given it to three other friends and a cousin as gifts and they have loved theirs just as much as I have loved mine. It seems to be catching because the other day I overheard someone in line at the local craft store talking to a friend about it. I like to think that I started the craze, but I'm also realistic.

In fact, I know that someone else had the idea because I have found scrabooking quotes in the form of stickers, borders and stamps at a number of scrapbooking stores. Whenever I find them, I scoop them up. Not only can I use them as inspiration, but I don't have to worry about misspelling something or accidentally leaving a word out because the quote is already written down for me.

Before you go out and purchase a book of quotes, I suggest that you look up scrapbooking quotes online to see if this technique works for you. The next time you have scrappers block, just turn to the internet and search for quotes about that particular subject or something related to it. I have yet to have trouble finding a quote that doesn't somehow relates to my pictures. Whether it is a quote about a city like New York, about an event such as a wedding or a theme such as snow falling or raking leaves somebody somewhere has said something that is noteworthy.

Don't let scrapper's block stop you. A scrapbooking quote is simply just a click of the internet or turn of a page away from you. Once you find the perfect saying, you will be on your way to cropping, cutting, gluing and embellishing in no time.
