Scrapbooking Stickers

When creating pages for your scrapbook, there is no more versatile embellishment on the market than scrapbooking stickers. They literally come in every color, shape, size and theme imaginable. From large borders that cover a page to tiny ladybugs and every size in between, you will find stickers that work for any scrapbook size.

Before the start of the scrapbook craze, scrapbooking stickers were few and far between. You could find such staples as white or black letters and a few major themes such as babies, weddings or schooldays. Even when I first started scrapbooking about 10 years ago I had to search high and low for the stickers I wanted.

Thankfully all of this has changed. Such manufacturers as Mrs. Grossman and Frances Meyer recognized that there was something missing among the scrapbooking materials on the market and they began to produce stickers for trips to the zoo, farm, amusement park and pizza parlor. They brought us packages of fun scrapbooking stickers such as hats, glasses, shoes and thought bubbles that we could stick right on top of the photos. Jolee's Boutique took things one step further and brought us 3D stickers.

Now we no longer have to wonder if we will ever find the sticker we need, we have to wonder WHICH scrapbooking stickers we are going to use and how we are going to use them! If you are searching for the perfect stickers, there are a number of places that you can look. Of course your local scrapbook store and craft store will have a variety of acid free stickers for scrapbooking. We have found some of our more unique stickers by searching online. There are hundreds of sites with scrapbooking materials and supplies and many have stickers that we have never seen in stores. Some of the best deals we have gotten on stickers have been on online auctions where we have bought stickers in lots or discontinued stickers. This is actually the first place we look now when we are looking for stickers to fit a certain theme such as pictures of kids splashing in rain puddles or making mud pies. Yes, there are even mud pie pictures.

If, on the off chance, you can't find the perfect scrapbooking stickers there is still hope for you. The Xyron 500 is a machine that allows you to make your own acid free stickers. You can turn anything into a sticker from concert tickets to your own art. Need a funny hat? Draw one and turn it into a sticker. It is easy to use and is inexpensive at less than $50. You can even purchase a book that gives you sticker ideas for the machine.

Whatever the occasion, there are scrapbooking stickers available to tie into the theme. All you have to do is search by the theme online or visit a scrapbook store. If you want even more options, you can make your own stickers. Either way, you will find that there is no better embellishment to use to create your scrapbook pages.
